HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT FOUNDATION FOR MY SKIN?

Choosing the best foundation for your skin is dependent on a few things: your skin type, the type of finish you’re looking for and the level of coverage you’re after. Mattifying foundations and powder foundations are usually best for those who have oilier skin types, whereas BB creams or dewier foundations tend to be best for dryer skin types. CAN I WEAR FOUNDATION EVERY DAY?

Absolutely, lots of people choose to wear foundation every day, while some opt for lower coverage base options day-to-day, such as BB creams or skin tints. As long as you’re taking your makeup off thoroughly every night with a good cleanser you can wear foundation daily.

DO YOU HAVE A FULL COVERAGE FOUNDATION?

For a full coverage finish, we’d recommend our Absolute Face Base Foundation. It delivers full coverage with a flattering finish and lightweight feel, while also promoting healthy skin and cell renewal with Pomegranate and Gotu Extract.

HOW DO I FIND MY UNDERTONE?

An easy way to determine what undertone you have is by looking at your veins. If they appear more blue or purple you are cool toned, if they appear greener you have a warm undertone and if you cannot determine whether your veins are blue or green you most likely have a neutral skin tone. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO APPLY LIQUID FOUNDATION?

We recommend using brushes to apply liquid foundations, particularly thicker, higher coverage formulas. Brushes will give you the most even and flawless application and can also help you get more out of your foundation in terms of the finish and coverage you’re after.

Our Special Finish Brush features multi-length, soft and fluffy fibres, which offer buildable coverage of any powder or cream product. This brush will pick up a little less product than denser brushes, so it can be used for a more sheer foundation application or to feather any powder foundation, blush or bronzer into the face.

The Perfect Base Brush is expertly designed to deliver optimal results when applying liquid products. Its tapered shape is perfectly sized to fit into all the creases and contours of your face, whilst its densely packed bristles deliver a fuller, smoother coverage. Use sweeping or patting motions to apply primer, foundation or concealer.

Our Miracle Base Brush will enable you to seamlessly buff and blend foundation with its flat-topped bristles. Its soft, densely packed bristles are ideal for quick application without it dragging the skin, offering medium to buildable coverage of your liquid or powder foundations.

The Precise Mineral Kabuki Brush has rounded, densely packed bristles designed to effortlessly build and blend powder minerals, whilst the shorter handle gives you maximum control.

Lastly, our Skin Loving BB Brush is a pocket-sized retractable brush that has been expertly designed to disperse the ideal amount of liquid complexion products. The angled shape and super-soft bristles hug the contours of your face for an even and seamless blend. It is a little less dense than the Miracle Base and Precise Mineral Kabuki brushes, so delivers a light to medium coverage. Plus, it’s the perfect size and shape to pop into your handbag for travel or on-the-go touch-ups.

1. Apply a small amount of your liquid foundation to the back of your hand and pat this onto your face with your chosen brush starting at the centre and working out.
2. Then, gently swirl in a circular motion to buff the product into the skin for a seamless finish.
3. After it is all blended in, identify any areas which require a little extra coverage and apply an additional thin layer of foundation in those targeted areas.
4. Buff along the hairline, jaw and under the chin to diffuse the foundation and to ensure a seamless finish.

WHICH FOUNDATIONS ARE THE BEST FOR LIGHTER COVERAGE?

We offer a few options for light coverage and natural finish foundations. If you’re looking for a very light coverage with a skincare feel, opt for Skin Secret Cream Tint with SPF 25. This will give you a wash of coverage and keep your skin looking like skin. For a step-up in coverage, try our Skin Loving BB Cream SPF 15. Again, this product is infused with skincare benefits and offers a natural skin-like finish, but with a little more coverage. Another option is our Flawless Face Base Foundation. This has a buildable formula which means it’s versatile and adaptable. The light-diffusing particles in this formula give your skin an air-brushed, yet natural look all day long. If you prefer a powder formula our mineral foundation, Irresistible Face Base is for you. However, the new trend of ‘underpainting’ suggests applying your concealer and contour first and a light layer of foundation on top.
